Lake Thunderbird State Park offers a variety of water activities and recreation, including two marinas, Calypso Cove and Little River, nine boat ramps and two swim beaches. Accommodations include RV sites, some with full hookups, restroom facilities and primitive campsites. The park also features playgrounds, picnic tables, picnic and group shelters. Both the Discovery Cove Nature Center and equestrian trails are located in the Clear Bay area. The park also features an array of hiking, mountain biking and nature trails along with some deer archery and waterfowl hunting seasonally designated areas.

Yes there is a swimming beach in the park. When we were there Memorial day weekend BBQ grills & tables were underwater at the swim beach. It is a nice shaded tree area that has a floating barrier that contains the swimmers and has a small playground across the street.
It took us almost an hour from northwest Oklahoma City (near the Kilpatrick), so imagine its closer from city center. Thunderbird is south and a little east from the city.
Why are do the people in my group still have to pay to get in if my group has already paid for a reserved space?
