The average fuel price in state has fallen about 48 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the state in the last year have been as low as $2.61 on Jan. 8, 2024, and as high as $3.69 on April 10, 2023.

After weeks of falling prices, gas prices increased slightly on Wednesday. The national average price for a gallon of regular gas rose to $3.215, according to AAA. This was more than Tuesday’s average price of $3.

Gas prices in Florida are dropping to a level we haven’t seen since January, AAA says the average gas price fell by 5 cents a gallon last week to $3.11.

AAA predicts the average price of gas in Massachusetts will fall below $3 a gallon before the end of October. And based on seasonal trends, the decline might not bottom out for a few more months.
