Catherine, Princess of Wales joined the royal family as they paid their respects to all those who have lost their lives in conflicts at the annual Remembrance Day service in London on Sunday.

The Princess of Wales watched from a balcony as the King laid a wreath at the Cenotaph and led the nation in a two-minute silence on Remembrance Sunday. Thousands of people gathered in Whitehall for the National Service of Remembrance to commemorate both world wars and other conflicts involving British and Commonwealth forces.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, joined other members of Britain’s royal family at a Remembrance Day event in London on Saturday – the latest public appearance by the princess since she underwent preventive treatment for cancer earlier this year.

The Princess of Wales has returned to the public eye for the Festival of Remembrance and The Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph, two of the most sombre events of the Royal calendar. She imbued each of her outfits with emotionally symbolic jewellery choices  representing remembrance of a more personal nature.

The Princess of Wales will also attend the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph, London, on Sunday and will watch the ceremony from a balcony overlooking the monument. The King, who is undergoing his own cancer treatment, and the Prince of Wales will lay wreaths.

The 75-year-old king, dressed in his Royal Navy uniform of the Admiral of the Fleet, laid a wreath of poppies at the base of the Cenotaph in London, in recognition of the fallen from conflicts dating back to World War I.
