Richard Gere is leaving the United States. No, this isn't some Hollywood hunk's hokum over politics. The "Pretty Woman" star — who recently sold his Connecticut estate — is leaving the country to be closer to family.

The "Pretty Woman" actor bought the house, formerly owned by Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, in 2022. He sold his previous home in Pound Ridge, N.Y. for $28 million.

As for why Gere and Silva are selling their Connecticut home, the former “Sexiest Man Alive” revealed plans to move to Spain earlier this year in an effort to be closer to Silva’s family.
