The Utah Hockey Club has recorded its first win in franchise history. Well, it’s only the preseason so it’s not officially their first win, but it’s something for Utah hockey fans to be excited about.

The St. Louis Blues dropped their second preseason games in as many nights, this time falling to the Utah Hockey Club, 5-3, at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa on Sunday.

The goal was credited to St. Louis' Anton Malmstrom as he was the last opposing player to touch the puck before it wound up in Utah's net. The team took to X to poke fun at the situation being Utah's "first goal as a franchise."

The Utah Hockey Club is playing this weekend. The crew will be in Des Moines, Iowa, on Sunday to take on the St. Louis Blues in a neutral location game. It’s fitting that after Utah hosted so many neutral location games over the years,
