Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, was appointed the deputy chief minister of the Indian state. Udhayanidhi, officially assumed the post of Deputy CM of the state on Sunday (Sept 29).

Udhayanidhi Stalin has been elevated to deputy chief minister of Tamil Nadu. Senthil Balaji, who was recently released on bail, is reinstated as a minister. The cabinet reshuffle saw three ministers dropped and three new faces inducted.
