Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss football team walloped Georgia Southern through big plays from Jaxson Dart and Tre Harris.

Jaxson Dart threw two touchdown passes in the opening nine minutes and finished with four as No. 5 Mississippi routed Georgia Southern 52-13.

It says a lot about the Rebels and the high standard they've set for themselves that they view Saturday's 34-point win at Wake Forest as a wakeup call.

Georgia Southern (2-2) found the end zone on a 12-yard touchdown pass from running back O.J. Anderson to Derwin Burgess and added field goals of 42 and 33 yards by Gavin Stewart. Eagles quarterback JC French completed 20 of 28 passes for 109 yards, with Georgia Southern managing just 194 total yards in the game.

After the game, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, wide receiver Tre Harris, linebacker Chris “Pooh” Paul and quarterback Jaxson Dart spoke with media. For Georgia Southern, head coach Clay Helton, QB JC French and linebacker Marques Watson-Trent met with media postgame.

Jaxson Dart might be playing against a soft schedule to open the 2024 college football season, but it's impossible to completely discount his absurd level of near perfect quarterback play through four weeks for Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.
