Last season, the NHL shared the news of an expanded partnership with retail company Fanatics. The deal made Fanatics the official uniform provider for the NHL for the next decade and the manufacturer of all jerseys available for purchase.

For the first time in a decade, fans will have access to jerseys that are exact replicas of the ones worn by NHL players on the ice, which certainly is a positive in Fanatics' era

Per the news release, the Fanatcs Premium jerseys will be the top choice for fans who don't want the on-ice product. Comprised of a lighter material, they will be more "comfortable" and include logos and patches sewn on like the authentic.

Fanatics has officially released the pricing of their new lineup of NHL jerseys ahead of the season and hockey fans are not happy about it.

My concerns here stem from the league's newest top of the line jersey which has been labeled the "Authentic Pro" tier, a tier that will run fans in the US a whopping $425 per jersey and a tier that will come in at an even higher cost for Canadian hockey fans who will be asked to fork over a whopping $500 per jersey.
